Addicted to games then you'll be violent.

More to the side of addiction but still tackles the effects of video games.
About 10 minutes into part one there is a boy like many people who plays Word Of Warcraft, he plays it for hours on end which ends up affecting his life so his mother intervened by disconnecting the internet which causes the boy to lash out, Now by saying the game was to blame is understandable and yes the game is to blame because if he didn't play it then he wouldn't act like that when the game is taken away from but maybe if his mother had more interest in what he was doing with his time she could of done something sooner and maybe he would of realised what was happening to him.
If the boy was able to deal with not playing the game all the time and realise he had a problem he wouldn't of lashed out.

So really the boy and his mother are to blame besides to back my argument the game isn't violent well it is but only as violent as tom and jerry I mean its not like the kid started casting fire balls at his mother if he did then yes you can blame the game.

Blame yourself maybe

This topic I found is a debate about who should be blamed for keeping violent games out of children's hands.

Simple enough blame the parents you wouldn't give your child porn would you?
Or let them eat out of the bin?
Parents need to have control over what they play but really it depends how the child acts after playing the game if they start being violent since playing the game then there is some thing wrong with your child.

"may" make people more likely to act aggressively

A few years old but the writing is still all the same this a study that I found on BBC news.

There is lots of things in life that can effect a person behaviour you can't just blame games even though these days nearly every child plays games even if they are not old enough to play them so I can understand why people blame games straight away but you don't know what they do when they hit the power button.

Small media

This probably isn't the best research to use first but never mind, this video is from what I can only guess is a small news channel trying to jump on the ban wagon bad mouthing games yet they mention an area of the brain that changes when a person plays a violent game which I will go more into detail will other research that I have found as for this video I think it's just something for small minded people to watch and think games = bad.

What amazes me is how the reporter was surprised that games company's are fighting back and winning in court cases or what have you about banning games.

Its entertainment media don't like it don't buy it.
If you don't want your kids playing it then don't buy it them or give them the money check to see what there playing and ask questions about it.

Starting The Brain

This blogg will contain any research I find towards the effects of videos games on people not just the bad side but the good as well.
The main area I will be looking into is the effects games have on kids seeing how there brains are still in development but that games could trigger something in a persons mind later on in life causing them to be violent.
